What is a mod?
Basically, a mod in terms of game engineering is a variation of an existing game run by hobby-developers.
It is in so far hard to classify this project, as it both adds several new features to the game itself as well as redesigns the whole environment the story's situated at.
What is this project based on?
GTA:Berlin is a mod for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which has been developed by Rockstar North. Furthermore, GTA:Berlin is only developed to be available on a personal computer.
Are there any further requirements in order to install the mod?
You will have to have GTA: San Andreas V. 1.0 installed in order to be able to modify the game at all. You will find out about your version on the lower right hand side of the start menu.
What will the ingame-environment be like?
It will most likely match Berlin's structure in terms of road networks and significant buildings ("sights").
However, it will not be an exact copy.
Is there any playable version of this already?
The mod is still being developed, but there was a trial version released to the public.
Extensions to that version are provided as little updates.
Will this modification be connected with costs?
Since this is no not going to be a standalone game but rather only an extension, alternatively change of existing game-mechnism and -environments, you actually do not have to pay for the download at all.
